Windfall Team Participates in Earth Day Trash Bash

April 25, 2016
In commemoration of Earth Day, Windfall employees spent Saturday, April 23 at Bunche Beach in Fort Myers, FL, cleaning up litter as part of the Great American Cleanup (a.k.a. Earth Day Trash Bash).

Great American Cleanup brings the power of volunteers and sponsors together to inspire change and build sustainable, vibrant communities. To do our part, Windfall staff volunteered at a Keep Lee County Beautiful site to remove trash and debris from one of the local waterways.

With it’s “old Florida” feel, Bunche Beach and Preserve is typical of the area before development came to southwest Florida and a hidden gem. Named in honor of Dr. Ralph Bunche, the first African American to win the Nobel Peace Prize, Bunche Beach has a history that is as fascinating as the wildlife that frequents this undeveloped stretch of sand, salt and tidal flats. This is a living ecosystem that ranges from a sandy beach to Mangrove forests to salt flats and contains great photographic and viewing opportunities from the flora & fauna to fantastic sunsets.

“We take such pride in being able to give back to the communities where we live and work,” said Donna Marks, President and CEO of Windfall, Inc. “We live in one of the most beautiful places in the United States. When we have a chance to give back and help make it more beautiful or help better the area we’re all about it.”

This special recognition celebrates Windfall’s commitment to driving the market for eco-conscious products and help in making a more positive impact on the planet.

In 2014, Office Depot/OfficeMax, and Windfall launched the first-of-its-kind Green Group Savings Program to help buying green products more accessible and inexpensive. Windfall members use this program to access substantial savings on eco-conscious products, ranging from paper products and ink & toner, to cleaning and breakroom supplies.

Windfall and ADP Partner to Offer Group Savings Discounts on Payroll Services to Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

May 20, 2015
Windfall, Inc., a leading group purchasing organization (GPO), and ADP (NASDAQ: ADP), a leading global provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, has announced a partnership to offer small and medium-sized businesses and associations special pricing and exclusive discounts on payroll processing.

These benefits are available to Windfall subscribers, and membership in Windfall’s program is free.

A 2015 survey conducted by the National Small Business Association (NSBA) found that 59 percent of small business owners take care of payroll on their own, with 27 percent devoting three to five hours per month and 12 percent spending six to 10 hours per month on payroll tax administration. An additional nine percent spend more than 10 hours per month. The NSBA determined that this amounts to in excess of 120 hours annually. That’s time that these business owners could have devoted to managing and growing their companies, rather than on back-office administration.

ADP’s payroll solutions help alleviate much of the burden of payroll for companies and are backed by industry-leading tax expertise to help organizations avoid mistakes and penalties. The Windfall/ADP partnership provides Windfall members with discounts on new payroll processing services, access to ADP’s current promotions, free payroll and tax credit analysis, and a waived one-time set up fee (a $200 value). ADP payroll services include full-service direct deposit, traditional paychecks, payroll debit cards and W-2s.

“Through the power of group purchasing and our partnership with ADP, we are bringing our members payroll-related discounts that otherwise wouldn’t be available to them, particularly if they are not a large corporation,” said Donna Marks, CEO of Windfall. “We are very excited about this partnership, as ADP is recognized as a global leader in payroll, tax and other HR-related services. Offering our members programs like the one we provide with ADP helps them to more efficiently and cost effectively manage and grow their businesses, and that’s what Windfall is all about.”

Windfall Website Relaunch Offers Huge Savings for Associations and Businesses

January 26, 2015
Windfall Inc., a leading group savings program, is proud to announce the re-launch of

Windfall is one of the top group purchasing organizations in the United States with over 200,000 members from small and medium-sized businesses as well as leading business associations. The best part of membership is that it is FREE for both individual members and associations themselves.

Though they offer monthly specials, Windfall is not a “daily deals” site. They have permanently negotiated lower prices on products and services from national vendors such as Office Depot, FedEx, 4imprint, ADP, Teladoc, USPAY, and EarthLink, to name a few.

Windfall Founder and President Donna Marks is proud of the impact her business has had on member businesses and associations.

“We have been offering group discounts on everyday products and services association owners already use for over 15 years,” she explained. “We’re an easy choice for organization executives because everything we do is completely customized for the group and ready for introduction to members. Every communication we send includes a reminder that these fabulous benefits are only available through your organization. Renewal is much easier when exceptional benefits are always top-of-mind.”

“We are much like any cooperative buying organization. Our members empower us with the ability to command lower prices from vendors,” added Marks. “We’ve experienced over a 300% increase in membership over the past two years.”

Windfall offers benefits to association managers and members, business owners, and employees – both as a white label service or value-added benefit.

“We recognize the importance of continually providing incentives for association members to improve member recruitment and retention,” offered Marks. “We believe that we have exactly what you need to save money and be your association’s super hero.”

Windfall Now Offers WellCloudMD with Teladoc Online Wellness Solutions

January 14, 2015
Windfall, Inc., a group purchasing organization providing discounts to small businesses and associations, now offers Teladoc, a service of WellCloudMD online wellness solutions, to its members.

Teladoc, founded in 2002, is the first and largest telehealth provider in the U.S., serving more than nine million members across the country.

Windfall members who register for WellCloudMD services have access to Teladoc, a U.S. board-certified physician 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. After completing an online questionnaire about their health history and medications, members can schedule a time to speak with a physician either on the phone or through a video chat. If the physician decides a prescription is necessary, he or she will send the prescription order to a nearby pharmacy. Teladoc consultations do not have time limits, and most patients are put in contact with a doctor within approximately 20 minutes.

Health care costs have risen anywhere from 3.3 to 8.5 percent per year since 2007, according to a survey of U.S. employers by Aon Hewitt. And Americans are waiting longer than ever to see their primary-care physicians after making an appointment. A study by the Commonwealth Fund, which studies health care issues internationally, found that Americans wait six days or more on average for appointments. Teladoc addresses these both of these issues by providing members with quick and affordable access to board-certified physicians.

Teladoc services are available for many common, non-emergency medical issues, such as cold and flu symptoms, bronchitis, allergies, poison ivy, pink eye, urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, sinus problems and ear infections. Patients’ electronic medical records are kept secure in accordance with HIPAA protocols, and patients may choose to share their Teladoc records with their primary care physician. And because Teladoc provides an alternative to costly urgent care and emergency room visits for its users, it can provide huge savings to companies. For example, one national retailer that implemented Teladoc in 2011 saved more than $1.2 million that would otherwise have been spent on urgent care or ER visits.

Windfall offers membership to the entire WellCloudMD package for $17.95 per month, which covers Teladoc services for an entire household, and there is no additional per-use fee. In addition, members have access to, a comprehensive online solution that empowers users to manage their health, nutrition, fitness and emotional well-being through an online platform.

“Offering Teladoc services to our members gives us another great way to empower associations and small businesses to provide the very best to their employees at a great discount,” said Donna Marks, CEO of Windfall. “This exciting partnership allows our members to offer a value-added health benefit to their employees at minimal cost.”
