Windfall Team Participates in Earth Day Trash Bash

In commemoration of Earth Day, Windfall employees spent Saturday, April 23 at Bunche Beach in Fort Myers, FL, cleaning up litter as part of the Great American Cleanup (a.k.a. Earth Day Trash Bash).

Great American Cleanup brings the power of volunteers and sponsors together to inspire change and build sustainable, vibrant communities. To do our part, Windfall staff volunteered at a Keep Lee County Beautiful site to remove trash and debris from one of the local waterways.

With it’s “old Florida” feel, Bunche Beach and Preserve is typical of the area before development came to southwest Florida and a hidden gem. Named in honor of Dr. Ralph Bunche, the first African American to win the Nobel Peace Prize, Bunche Beach has a history that is as fascinating as the wildlife that frequents this undeveloped stretch of sand, salt and tidal flats. This is a living ecosystem that ranges from a sandy beach to Mangrove forests to salt flats and contains great photographic and viewing opportunities from the flora & fauna to fantastic sunsets.

Windfall and ADP Partner to Offer Group Savings Discounts on Payroll Services to Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

Windfall, Inc., a leading group purchasing organization (GPO), and ADP (NASDAQ: ADP), a leading global provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, has announced a partnership to offer small and medium-sized businesses and associations special pricing and exclusive discounts on payroll processing.

These benefits are available to Windfall subscribers, and membership in Windfall’s program is free.

A 2015 survey conducted by the National Small Business Association (NSBA) found that 59 percent of small business owners take care of payroll on their own, with 27 percent devoting three to five hours per month and 12 percent spending six to 10 hours per month on payroll tax administration. Windfall Now Offers WellCloudMD with Teladoc Online Wellness Solutions

Windfall, Inc., a group purchasing organization providing discounts to small businesses and associations, now offers Teladoc, a service of WellCloudMD online wellness solutions, to its members.

Teladoc, founded in 2002, is the first and largest telehealth provider in the U.S., serving more than nine million members across the country.

Windfall members who register for WellCloudMD services have access to Teladoc, a U.S. board-certified physician 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. After completing an online questionnaire about their health history and medications, members can schedule a time to speak with a physician either on the phone or through a video chat. If the physician decides a prescription is necessary, he or she will send the prescription order to a nearby pharmacy. Teladoc consultations do not have time limits, and most patients are put in contact with a doctor within approximately 20 minutes.

Health care costs have risen anywhere from 3.3 to 8.5 percent per year since 2007, according to a survey of U.S. employers by Aon Hewitt. And Americans are waiting longer than ever to see their primary-care physicians after making an appointment. A study by the Commonwealth Fund, which studies health care issues internationally, found that Americans wait six days or more on average for appointments. Teladoc addresses these both of these issues by providing members with quick and affordable access to board-certified physicians.

Teladoc services are available for many common, non-emergency medical issues, such as cold and flu symptoms, bronchitis, allergies, poison ivy, pink eye, urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, sinus problems and ear infections. Patients’ electronic medical records are kept secure in accordance with HIPAA protocols, and patients may choose to share their Teladoc records with their primary care physician. And because Teladoc provides an alternative to costly urgent care and emergency room visits for its users, it can provide huge savings to companies. For example, one national retailer that implemented Teladoc in 2011 saved more than $1.2 million that would otherwise have been spent on urgent care or ER visits.

Windfall Inc, is pleased to announce Maria Johnson recently accepted a promotion to Implementation Manager.

Maria has an extensive background in the affinity/group purchasing industry and holds the longest tenure with the company.In her new role, she will oversee the planning and implementation of new association programs, supplier partner offers and other company-wide communication campaigns. Maria will also continue to enhance the overall saving experience to maximize member use of the Windfall program.

“Maria has been instrumental in the success of the Windfall program for individual businesses,” commented Donna Marks, President and CEO of Windfall. “Her leadership and experience will help us as we continue to grow the Windfall association and franchise offering going forward.”

Maria is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Cape Coral, a FL Chamber of Commerce program designed to develop community leaders. She also completed the Disney Institute Leadership Excellence course in 2012.
